Holztiger is a well-known brand of the German company Gollnest & Kiesel, one of the main wooden toy producers in Europe. Holztiger wooden figures are individually handcrafted in Romania out of solid hardwood, mostly maple and beech. They are softly rounded and sanded by hand to a satin-smooth finish, that is lovely to the touch. They are painted with safe, non-toxic watercolour paint in bright but natural, earthy colors, that allow the unique wood grain to shine through; and they are finished with a saliva-resistant lacquer.
