    • The Asian elephant has been since the disappearance of its ancestor the mammoth, the largest land mammal after the African elephant! What distinguishes it from its African cousin are its shorter ears, its smaller size and its trunk which has only one finger at its end while there are two in the African elephant. The trunk is actually an extension of its lip and nose, allowing it to communicate, to bring water and food to the mouth, to pull and transport branches and to trumpet. Its defenses are made up of ivory and enamel and are in fact two teeth, used as a tool and as a defense in combat. The elephants live in herds of around 20 individuals and are gathered around the matriarch, the dean of the group. They spend most of their time looking for food.

Once Upon a Time There was Papo

For almost 25 years now, Papo has been helping children to grow and to discover the world around them. Childhood is a time of dreams and adventures, and this was what we had in mind when we decided to create our first princesses, princes, dragons and knights. Thanks to the originality of its products and the extreme care taken with product quality and safety, Papo has won children and parents over the years. Papo is now a reference in the world of model figures and continues to develop new ranges to inspire the imaginations of children all around the world. In an age of mass consumption and throwaway goods, Papo continues to produce fine quality toys that last over time and can be passed on from generation to generation.
