Made in Germany

    • Of all the thousands of different dogs produced by Steiff over the past decades, the Great Dane "Lord" was made only once - in the period from 1932 through 1936. Because of the rarity and desirability of the first "Lord", we’re presenting an exceptional replica in 2014. Like the original, our new version is sewn from real wool felt and stuffed with finest excelsior. Each piece is painstaking painted by hand. Even the nose is painted, not stitched. Pink accents at the ears, eyes and chin add extra detail. The dark brown glass eyes are individually handmade. Lord wears an "underscored button" that reflects the original time of production. We’re pleased to offer you this chance to own a piece of Steiff history in the form of a truly outstanding replica.
