    • The raccoon, or more precisely the common raccoon, is an omnivorous mammal, but is classified as a carnivore. Native to North America, the raccoon is mainly nocturnal and climbs trees easily with its nimble fingers and sharp claws. Its coat is salt and pepper with slight reddish tones. It is easily recognisable by its black mask edged with white around the eyes and its distinctive tail which has alternating light and black rings.

Get up close to wildlife with the Papo Raccoon figurine. It will enchant young and old alike with its realism and high level of detail.
Papo figurines are hand-painted and designed to provide children with a great medium for play and imagination. Nothing is left to chance: correct postures and morphology, faithful reproduction of the animal's main characteristics.

The raccoon dips all its food in water before eating it, a habit called dousing. This helps it determine what it is eating.

The Savannah is also available in the same collection and is the perfect play environment for the Papo wild animals.

Once Upon a Time There was Papo

For almost 25 years now, Papo has been helping children to grow and to discover the world around them. Childhood is a time of dreams and adventures, and this was what we had in mind when we decided to create our first princesses, princes, dragons and knights. Thanks to the originality of its products and the extreme care taken with product quality and safety, Papo has won children and parents over the years. Papo is now a reference in the world of model figures and continues to develop new ranges to inspire the imaginations of children all around the world. In an age of mass consumption and throwaway goods, Papo continues to produce fine quality toys that last over time and can be passed on from generation to generation.
